When the World was Still

I know I have been quiet on the home front. How have you all been? Getting projects done? Going crazy? Doing nothing? I am sure there is a little of everything in all of us, right?

We finished our school year about a week before the state went on lock down which was just really lucky for us. I know what it is like to be homeschooling and it gets intense at times. I can sympathize with you all and I am grateful to not be doing it right now in all honesty. We are just doing a couple hours each day to keep the brains active.

It is weird to be on lock down right? I haven't left my house in over a month. I mean an entire month!? That's a long time. Considering I used to be grateful for one evening at home. Life sure has changed since March 12th. We are continually reminding ourselves God knew all this was coming before we did and He has a plan all worked out!

We've done some pretty cool projects and art while we've been chilling at home. We have spent a lot of time as a family. I finally watched all the Harry Potter movies, ha! #biggoals I have had the opportunity to spend a ton of one on one time with my kids which has been a huge benefit during this time. Something else really cool, is all the online church. I love being able to attend church in so many places we used to live. When we move, the hardest part is saying good bye to the church family and lately we've been able to attend online where we worshiped before because everyone has to now! Interacting with them on fb live during worship and service has been a blast.

The little joys in lock down become more visible as time goes by. When God basically tells the entire world to be still you know you really should listen. And that is what we have been doing. We have chosen to find the blessings and the meaning in this crazy season and seek His face in all we do.

That being said, as April is coming to an end, we have decided to stay in Virginia through May and then figure it out from there. Our country is still too unstable to risk traveling full time and because we still have the option to stay in a home we are going to. We are praying with every step we take and most dearly want to stay in God's will. Please continue to pray for us and with us as we seek His will.

We have no idea when the lock down will be lifted. When the US will be stable. If the lifestyle we were headed towards will be possible. When we will be able to leave. If we should even wait to leave. And none of those answers matter if they don't come from God! So we are listening very carefully!

And as always I am praying for you all during this time.

When God wants to make a mushroom, He takes six hours. When God wants to make an oak tree, He takes 60 years. The question is: Do you want your life to be a mushroom or an oak tree?
