What a year!
I am sure no matter what walk of life we come from that phrase can resonate in us. 2019 was a mix of a year for me! All the things happened last year and I can't look back and not see God's hand in it.
2019 I started last year just 2 weeks into a recovery from a major surgery. A surgery that took me down for almost 4 months. It was trying to say the least. That surgery took away the first part of my year and gave me a lot of bed rest and I was home bound way longer than we expected. 2019 had a rough start!
That same surgery that took me so long to recover from also took away a chronic pain that I had been living with for 4 years..... so you do the math lol the surgery and recovery were worth it because the pain is gone and I am getting stronger every day!
2019 also changed my son's life. He is autistic and until last year we didn't have a therapist that would come alongside our family and help him and teach us. Now he not only has one therapist but he now has two that are incredible. He has become a different young man and we are forever grateful for our time at Genesis Counseling and Children's First ABA.
2019 was the start of my husband's EMDR therapy for his PTSD and when we meet his two therapists Abby and Capri. They have both been a huge part of our lives this year. They are growing us and saving him every week little by little.
2019 was also when my husband graduated with his Master's degree! An accomplishment I am so proud of!
2019 is when we found out my sweet middle child has dyslexia. She took it so well. I think knowing older brother has something special too made it easier to except that it is ok to need extra help. Her treatment and educational therapy will start soon for that.
2019 my littlest little began preschool and I have no more babies. I am so proud of her and so excited to be in a new season of parenting!
2019 we made the decision to follow God's prompting. We sold all our belongings, bought a RV, sold our cars, and are getting ready to travel fulltime as a family for as long as God wants us to.
2019 brought rest, travel, joy, growth and change. But it also brought challenges, sadness, loss and death. It was a beautiful melting pot of all the experiences that life has to offer if you just look up and decide to be a part of it.
In 2020 I know God has even more plans for us that will grow us, bend us, mold us, and teach us all that He wants. I look forward to walking in obedience and fulfilling His desires for me!
