This post really has no purpose but to ramble. Which is actual why I started this blog to begin with. I really didn't even expect or care if anyone even read my posts! I just really like to get my thoughts out and sometimes God gives me words from Him and of course those are the most important to write down!
But not today, HA! Today I am literally just rambling. Why? Well, because I had a birthday. And birthdays make me reflect on the year past and the year to come. I have always loved birthdays. Seriously! I have a "birth-month" not a birth-day 😆. And being that my day is the 28th I maximize that to the fullest! I have just always been a fan of celebrating the years that come and go in my life.
No matter HOW many years pass I am not the person that hides my age or feels crazy because I am getting older. The point is is that I am getting older and I can not change it. Plus, I actually get wiser and less immature as I get older which I find to be a very good thing!!!!!! I can not add enough exclamation marks to that sentence!
This past year brought rest and peace and changes! I am blessed to say this past year was filled with a lot of growth for everyone in our family.
In 2 Peter 3 we are reminded that Jesus is coming back unexpectedly and we should be ready and waiting, on guard at all times. Peter also says that a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is but a day. However, this doesn't mean I am to remain stagnant while my short time on earth passes by. Towards the end he says grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And this is what I want my next birth-year to focus on.
I am grateful for last year and I am excited about our lifestyle change into full time RV life this year. I am dedicating this next year to growing in grace and knowledge. I want to do more reading and studying of God's word. And I already have several books sitting in a box ready to move into my new bedroom that I want to read also! There are so many people that God has blessed with the gift of writing for His kingdom and I can't wait to dig in ❤📘
Thank you Lord for another birthday, another birth year to grow in grace and knowledge of You. Help me to use it wisely and remind me when I make the wrong turn to get back on Your path right away. I am excited to see how You can use me for Your kingdom this new birth year and I love you so much!!
